Vocalist Alterea Baxter, a native of Charleston S.C. Alterea is a vocalist of thirty years. Alterea's appeared on Lowcountry Live as a guest. founder and a lead vocalist for JBS r&b Duo. Alterea can be seen periodically performing solo as "Vocalist & Friends" for a non profit organization for the youths in Art Diversity Foundation's "Jazz With Clazz". Alterea has performed from North Myrtle Beach ,North Carolina, Atlanta Georgia to Panama City Florida, She has opened for Bobby Blue Bland, Percy Sledge, Roy C, Archie Bell, Eddie Corneilius, Hal Jacksons The Drifters, Gregg Hills Delfonics Revu to name a few. Alterea comes from a very musical background. She enjoys singing R&B, Jazz, Reggae, and Country. Alterea has been groomed vocally by the late Mrs. June Bonner at The Dock Street Theater in Charleston S.C. She has put her vocal ability to use with such bands as True Concepts Reggae Band, Sizzle Band at The Coastal Carolina Fair for ten (link hidden)e Party Patrol Band performing at Classics Nightclub and Spectrum Band. Alterea has stood in as a guest performer with various musical leaders such as Joey Morant, Howerd Brown, Abe White,Oscar Rivers, and various artist In the Tri County area. She participated ten years in the Jerri Lewis March Of Dimes Telethon. You can see her at many local venues in Charleston sharing her passion for music with others.
