I will provide your group, church, corporation with a customized night of dancing. I include Sqaures, Contra, Line and open dance time per the wishes of the client. Events can last from 1 - 3 hours depending on your desires.
Music is age appropriate and can include country, bluegrass, techno, modern and international flavors. Dance instruction is geared to the age and experience of your group and can/will be adjusted as needed during the event. Square Dancing is a classic for picnics, birthdays, family reunions, festivals, corporate team buidling, company parties because it gets everyone up, involved and working together to have a great time! Last weekend we had a backyard wedding with a few special friends and family. The family included 12 children aged 2 to 14. It was beautiful, even the weather was perfect. We decided on square dancing, we really wanted entertainment and fun for this diverse group. The first time I talked with Wendy I knew she was the caller for us. Even on the phone, I could tell she loves what she does. She brought all of the equipment. We had some special song requests for special dances and she provided all of those. We did some square dancing, which was difficult with the mix of children. But it was fun and Wendy knew the right time to try line dancing. Everyone had a lot of laughs and a lot of fun. Even the children got their own dance party going with some songs for them and a dance leader. All and all it was great and Wendy's joy while entertaining was contagious. We want to thank you Wendy for your helping to make the wedding fun and memorable and being able to get everyone involved.
Oh, my goodness! Our 60+ young people came not quite sure what to expect, but they had a GREAT time learning how to square dance! Wendy and her husband were terrific working with all of us--including leaders--to organize squares, teach, and help us learn together. We continue to hear from our youth how much fun they had and how they wish we could do this every month! The experience together helped us get to know one another better, unwind from the pressures of the first week back to school, and most of all, feel comfortable and confident in our new skill! Cannot more highly recommend the Brooks--we have enjoyed their leadership at a Family Reunion and now at our Youth Activity--they were a hit!
I recently contacted Wendy to teach our youth group how to square dance. She was competent and professional and she taught our bunch of greenies several new dances in less than an hour! We all loved it! I would definitely hire Wendy again!
Very fun night. Wendy taught us several fun dances; the variety was nice. The music was the best we've ever square danced to. Can't wait to do this again.
Wendy is a talented caller. She taught 112 kids to square dance in a short period of time. She was friendly, humorous, and fun. The kids had a good time. We really enjoyed having her and John come and spend the evening with us!

Wendy and her husband made our Stake youth conference even more fun and special! I was amazed at the level of excitment and enthusiasm they brought to our gathering. Within moments all of the youth were organized and on the dance floor- even the most reluctant teenage boys. Her ability to instruct large groups is amazing! Everyone had a great time. I would hire them again for a private or any large event!!! Highly reccomended!
Wendy did such a great job! She was well prepared and kept her audience in mind. Which were teenagers from ages 14-17. The kids had fun and so did I had an adult leader! I highly reccommend her talent!
Wendy and John Brooks came to our youth barn dance. They were prompt, fun, organized, and prepared. Their interaction with the youth was fantastic. They made it lots of fun. I would call them again and recommend them to anyone.
Wendy is amazing at being able to teach over 75 nine and ten year old fourth graders how to square dance!! Her choice of music is amazing, keeping the kids entertained while learning. She made dancing fun even for the boys!!
Wendy worked with our 4th graders 75 students to teach them to square dance and do the Virginia Reel for our Spring Fling. She has a lot of patience and teaches well, with lots of repetition.
Wendy and her husband came out to our youth activity night to teach us about square dancing and how to do it. She will be coming out to another activity at the end of the month. We hired Wendy to teach our Young Men and Young Women to square dance for our pioneer trek. She is coming to our trek at the end of the month for a hoe down. The kids and the adults all had so much fun. No one has been able to stop talking about it. I can't wait for Trek!
