WILD MAGNOLIA is a group of musicians that enjoys taking traditional tunes and making them their own.
They play Bluegrass (with some folk and Old Time thrown in), and have served as the house band at HandCraftNYC and had spring residencies at The Bonnie. They have played many weddings and events, including Woodstock Poland. They're also pretty fun folks to hang with!
Wild Magnolia was outstanding!!

We booked Wild Magnolia to play our cocktail hour and we were so, so glad we did. The band was so easy to communicate with from the start, showed up early, and was so great and easy to work with. They did an amazing job, and I only wish we had booked them to play longer than the cocktail hour.

I worked with Wild Magnolia to perform during our outdoor dinner welcome reception for 150 people and they were the perfect addition. Great communication, great music and very self sufficient; they did a fantastic job all around. We cannot thank Stephen and all the members of Wild Magnolia enough. They did a masterful job at our wedding -- from the ceremony to the reception. You never know what to expect when you choose a band to play an event or wedding. But from the moment we hired Wild Magnolia, we knew we were in good hands. Stephen stayed in contact with us throughout the planning process. He and the rest of the crew are dedicated and thoughtful in everything they do. The song selection during the reception was perfect. Everyone was on their feet having a wonderful time. They brought a unique, bluegrass style that everyone loved. We got dozens of compliments. The cover songs they performed for our first dance -- as well as the father-daughter and mother-son first dances -- were magical. We requested a cover of Green Eyes by Coldplay. Stephen and his crew did such a beautiful job, it was better than the source material. Stop reading and hire this band!

Asked these guys to play my wedding and they absolutely nailed it! Definitely one of the highlights of an already awesome day. My wife and I loved them and our guests could not (and have not) stopped raving about them. Not only was the music great but they are just awesome people as well! They were even nice enough to hang around a bit and chat with some of the guests. Would definitely hire them again in a heartbeat!

We've just witnessed this group play at our church; a gathering called "The Welcome Table." They played well and got us all singing along. Many songs, a variety of styles. The leads, a couple, had a wonderful bluegrass voice combination. I could have listened for a couple more hours!

The energy they bring to any venue is priceless. I have booked them on multiple occasions and they some how get better every time. My only complaint is I wished they played longer sets!

Gig Length: 45 - 600 minutes

You can expect us to arrive early and be set up for a prompt start time. We sing a variety of songs as well as traditional instrumental tunes. We take turns singing solos which adds to the variety of sound. We have a lot of fun doing what we do, so expect lots of jamming/improvisational solos on the tunes we play. We can also learn songs upon request- just let us know!
We are a group of artists hailing from The Bronx, Alabama, Connecticut, Poland, and Japan and coming together to create music in the Bluegrass/Acoustic style. Our various musical backgrounds that include Jazz, Rock, Blues, and Latin music help to bring a fresh spin to traditional tunes.
We will have a mixing board and all of the equipment we need, but prefer to plug into the sound system at the venue. We need enough room for 6 people with instruments and microphones, but we can still fit into tight spaces if we have a heads-up. We're also flexible, and can scale down or go completely acoustic if needed.
