Will Hayes, Cellist

We hired Will to play our small backyard wedding in Albany (on short notice) during the tough environment of Fall 2020. Will was a complete pro; super responsive, did a great job the entire event; and even learned a song by request to play during our walk down the aisle. You will get an excellent musician/performer with Will.

Will covered the cello charts in our school musicals. I would love him to play in all my gigs!

We hired Will Hayes to play the cello at our wedding on August 3rd, 2019. He played ceremony music for us in our church. I found Will on the website Gigsalad and he got back to me immediately regarding my interest in him and answered all of my questions. He stuck out to me as someone who was prompt, thorough, and absolutely loved his instrument and what he does. After reading all of the wonderful reviews others wrote about Will, this confirmed my thoughts and instincts. We called Will often to go over the music for our wedding and review everything that we wanted to do. Through all the phone calls and e-mails, he was always available to us and listened to what we wanted. Will never pushed us to do anything that we didn't want to do and respected that it was our day. He was a patient, sincere and honest person. In fact, Will made the extra effort to do a rehearsal for us and practiced with another young man we hired who played violin. They rehearsed together and Will noticed that this young man struggled with reading sheet music and wasn't familiar with the songs that we picked out for the wedding. Will, again, made the extra effort to schedule more rehearsals (without us even asking him) with this young man to ensure that our music was perfect for our wedding day. Will assured us that we didn't have to worry and he was confident, which made us feel comfortable and we trusted him. Everything that Will played was beautiful and outstanding. As soon as you hear him play, you are in for a treat because his talent and passion is clearly there. He is professional, on time and presents himself very nicely.
