I am a sophomore vocal performance major, but I do a lot of cross over singing between different genres. I am trained classically, but also sing gospel, R&B, jazz, musical theatre, and many others. I love to entertain and give people something to remember.

Yazid Pierce-Gray is a young baritone originally from Germantown, Maryland. He has performed in venues such the Strathmore, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and Carnegie Hall. Yazid has performed for and worked with composers such as Adam Guettel and Libby Larson. This past summer Yazid has been seen in productions with the College Light Opera Company as one of their vocal company members. There he played roles such as Rev. JD Montgomery in Gershwin’s My One and Only and Ivor DeQuincy in Babes in Arms. Yazid is a recipient of the National Society of Arts and Letters Award for Excellence in Theatre and was a finalist of the Schmidt Youth Vocal Competition in 2011 and 2012. Mr. Gray is currently a sophomore at DePauw University, where he studies with Caroline Smith, in pursuit of a Bachelor’s of Music degree in Vocal Performance.
