As a solo act, you can expect to hear greater proportion of soulful originals, classic country and folk ballads mixed in with uptempo oldies, rock and blues. Andy has an extensive list of his original songs and cover tunes from such artists as Johnny Cash, Jerry Jeff Walker, John Prine, Guy Clark, Carole King, Kris Kristofferson, Dion, Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Larry Hosford, Van Morrison, The Rolling Stones, George Jones, Robert Earl Keen, Willie Nelson, Gram Parsons and many, many more.
Upon request or if the mood seems right, Andy has been know to sing pop tunes from Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis and Nat King Cole

Born and raised on the beach, boardwalk and streets of Coney Island in Brooklyn, NY in 1950, where a variety of music was heard throughout the neighborhood rich with local talent, from Woody Guthrie, Carole King, Neil Sedaka, Neil Diamond, The Tokens, Kenny Vance and from other nearby neighborhoods, the Four Seasons, Jay & The Americans, Dion & The Belmonts. Andy began singing in an acapella doo wop trio at an early age for several years their own pleasure and friends, on street corners, stoops, hallways, stairwells, bathrooms and anyplace they could find an echo.

Before starting the next chapter in his life, hitch-hiking across the country to the other beach boardwalk town of Santa Cruz, California in 1971, he got to experience 3 days of peace, love and music at Woodstock that left an impact on his life and music.

The change of scene and experiences on the west coast expanded his music influencers to Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, John Prine, Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, George Jones, Larry Hosford, Townes van Zandt, Gram Parsons and many others.

Since 2009, Andy has been a working musician, performing his eclectic mix of originals and covers from folk, classic country, oldies, bluegrass, and blues mixed in with a helping of Brooklyn Doo Wop. His friends christened his mashup of genres as Brooklynbilly Music.

Andy Fuhrman is also the host of the Brooklynbilly Music Mashup show on Santa Cruz’s newest and hottest non-commercial, community supported radio station KSQD 90.7FM, which began serving the Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay areas in January 2019. His show airs weekly on Tuesdays 11am-1pm, streaming worldwide at (link hidden). As a community supported station, the Brooklynbilly Music Mashup show provides a 30 minute slot at Noon most weeks for local musicians to get some exposure and promote their upcoming shows.

Andy Fuhrman can provide sound equipment to cover small to medium venues and events up to 150-200 attendees. For solo performances in small locations, my gear includes a Martin acoustic guitar, Fishman Loudbox amplifier, mic and mic stand. As a band, I can provide a 16 channel Carvin PA with mains and monitors.
For events where staging, lighting and additional sound are desired and not provided by the client or venue, we can provide a quote for rental equipment.
Quotes are based on the following:
- Solo or full Band performance
- Performance times and duration
- PA gear required
- Additional equipment and services required such as PA, lighting and staging and sound engineer.
- Travel, Food and Lodging if more than 75 miles each way.
