I am available to play events such as weddings, funerals, and public events. I play traditional slow air, marches, and some jigs. I can also learn new tunes at request within reason. I offer discounted rates for military and first responder families. I will show up approximately 30 minutes early, fully tuned and prepared. I will arrive in traditional bagpiping attire which includes: a kilt, pipers vest, dress shirt, tie, and glen.
My pricing depends on time playing and distance traveled. My pricing is roughly:
150$ for military or first responders
200$ for a half hour of playing and up to an hour of travel.
250$ for an hour of playing or over an hour's worth of travel.

Price Range: $150-$300
An approximate timeline of my setup and performance is as follows:
60-30 minutes prior to the performance, I will arrive, fully dressed, instrument tuned, and ready to go. I will meet with you to discuss where you want me, what ques to look for, and any pertinent details about the event.
depending on the nature of the event, when we have finished discussing the details, I will go to where I will perform at, answer questions that people might have, and ensure that everything is in order to play well.
At that point, I will perform for the length of time that you ask for.
I will either leave the event or wait to play again depending on what we agree on
Final payment will be sent through Gig Salad.
The process should be quick and painless, and I work with you to make the performance go as smoothly as possible.
I started learning bagpipes in 2022 through the Army. I am still active duty and currently in charge of the USMA Pipes and Drums Band. I have the pleasure of having learned bagpipes from one of the best bagpipers on the East Coast, which, because of his expert teaching, I have come to appreciate both the instrument as well as the meticulous preparation and attention to detail that Scottish musicians ought to hold themselves to. Because I am active-duty military, my schedule can be difficult to plan around; however, for the events that I can attend, I will be as courteous, attentive, and flexible as you would expect from a professional. I am happy to work with your schedule, help you plan how best to use me, and during the event, I am approachable and happy to answer any questions people have about myself, the bagpipes, or the traditions associated it.
Three things to keep in mind when scheduling a bagpiper:
The instruments are very loud so kept this in mind if the venue is inside and has either low ceilings or a tight crowd.
The instruments are very heat sensitive so if it is outside while it is cold/hot, my tuning will change as I play so I will likely have to make small adjustments - no issue it just might take an extra second or two in a private place.
Finally, the instrument is sensitive to humidity and rain. I can certainly work with whatever conditions; however, if it is raining hard, some sort of covering would be greatly appreciated.
