We hosted an event at our cafe during happy hour and Barrie played wonderful music. Great music for an afternoon on the patio while customers enjoyed food & drink. Got many complements, and would love to have him again!

Barrie was first class in every way. He was on time and set up well in advance of our event. He engaged our audience well and played/sang songs that were appropriate. He has a great voice and is an accomplished musician. Everyone was having such a great time that Barrie stayed and played longer than originally asked. Barrie was highly professional and I highly recommend him. We will absolutely have him back for future parties and events!
We enjoyed having Barry play at our cafe in Lebanon. He was very professional and prompt. Played nonstop for 2 hours. His selection of songs was recognizable and pleasing to our dinner crowd. He played harmonica, flute and guitar. We will definitely book him again.
Response from Barrie Dempsey:
Thank you, Growler Cafe. I had a great time. Your food is excellent and all your staff extremely attentive and friendly.
I wanted to post a review, because I was extremely happy with Barrie's music and his professionalism. Super nice guy with loads of talent. I hired him for an annual event hosted at Garland Nursery in Corvallis, OR. His tone was perfect and his songs were very relaxing for a garden atmosphere. A lot of our customers were spotted singing along with his cover tunes, but he also played quite a few of his original music that was very nice to listen to too. I will most definitely be hiring him again for future events. Thanks, Barrie!!

I play acoustic guitar in a rhythmic style and sing adding harmonica (not too much) accenting the songs melody. I use a looper to record guitar chords and play flute or slide guitar leads to enhance the song. Sometimes I will build parts in layers and I use a second looper for beats, usually cajon beats if I don't have a real cajon/percussionist with me. Some songs I will also use a harmonizer for vocal harmonies.
If needed I can play as a duo with a bass guitar player and harmony vocals (price will vary).
I have over 600 cover songs and more than 50 original songs and will mix them in the set.
I love singing and have a soulful voice.

On a typical gig I will bring a Fishman SA220 PA system and a Roland Cube with microphone on stand and acoustic guitar, sometimes also an electric guitar, harmonicas and a flute. I use a looper so I can record guitar parts to play along with on the flute. I will also use a JamMan for beats when the song calls for it.
I also have a larger QSC PA system if needed.
I provide all cables and effects that I need. Setup time preferred is 45 to 60 minutes.
Client needs to provide power and lighting if performing when dark. It will be extremely helpful to know details about load in and parking.
Thanks.
