Do not book this vendor. I should have realized that if her reviews were 3 years old, there was something wrong. Up until the booking, the vendor was responsive. After the booking, there was slow or no response. Needless to say, one week before the event, I had to cancel and find someone else! Don't waste your time and energy.
Belynda arrived early and appeared to be ready to perform. She engaged a variety of topics with appropriate humor and we were very pleased. We had a very small venue and she appeared to be comfortable with our diverse facility team.
We hired Belynda for my college graduation party. She was a hit! She was very funny and didn't miss a beat. After the show, several guests wanted to know where we found her and told us how much they enjoyed her performance. I would definitely recommend her!

I generally don't stay at staff parties very long. I usually stay long enough to eat and I sometimes will take the food back to my office to eat. This was the first time I stayed through the entire event. Belynda made me laugh so hard that my face actually hurt. She was thoughtful and insightful, but mainly funny. I am a fan.

For larger venues or for a production of my one woman show (Staying on The Right Side Of Sanity, Diary Of A Dirt Road Diva) Lightning and sound system adaptable with a lapel microphone will be required.
For one woman show a stage space a minimum of 8ft X 11ft will be required as well.
Some speaking may require a flip chart and easel or dry erase board.

Originally I was inspired by Carol Burnett, the joy that show brought to me each week as a child, made me want to entertain and share my gift of laughter with people.
I was also heavily influenced by the mentors I had growing up. I was fortunate to have a strong foundation laid by my Sunday school teachers and serveral truly phenomenal school teachers, that not only educated but also nurtured and mentored me. As a result of the love and encouragement I received from my educators, I recognized how it had changed not only the goals and dreams I had for my adult life, it had inevitably changed the outcome of my life. My childhood was filled with trauma and challenges that affected my self esteem and personal motivation. My success was the byproduct of the role models that believed in my abilities before I realized I had any. My mentors recognized my potential and challenged me to dream big and aim high.
I was galvanized to “pay it forward” and reach back to others, especially women and children to and help them recognize their gifts and potential.
