"Braveheart Bagpiper" (Eric Rigler) is the Real Deal, very Professional 👍
I hired Eric to perform at a funeral, he was on time, played awesome and music made the service really nice. Was a great send off for a beloved family member! Thank you Eric
Eric Rigler played slow traditional Scottish funeral bagpipe music for my father's funeral. The tunes were evocative and hauntingly beautiful. It set an incredibly respectful tone and was a true honor to my father's memory and to his Scottish roots. (Thank you for the Scottish funeral march).
Also, Eric Rigler was kind and professional in every respect and came dressed in his red Scottish tartan. Thank you so much for the peace you provided to my family through your music.
Mr. Rigler was absolutely Amazing. First of all, such a classy, kind hearted gentleman, an amazing man. He played so Beautifully it touched all our hearts and brought tears to our eyes. My family and I are so truly grateful, thankful and blessed to have Mr. Rigler play for my Father's ceremony. My Father is definitely smiling from Heaven. May GOD Bless You Always Mr. Rigler. What a great honor to meet you sir.
Eric was wonderful at my mothers service! Showed up early and played everything on our request list very patiently in between our service!
Thank you for being a true professional.

Eric arrived early, checked in with the people at the church for directions, played exactly what we asked for and was absolutely professional. He made what was a difficult day for us a bit easier with his playing of Danny Boy, Amazing Grace and Going Home in honor of our brother.
I hired Mr. Rigler for my mother and grandmother's burial at sea in 2017. He performed Amazing Grace and Scotland The Brave. It was wonderful, memorable, and classy. I just found some footage of the event in my computer and I felt like leaving a positive review for Mr. Rigler somewhere, so here we are. He was kind, and punctual, and well dressed, and highly skilled and this is about to turn into the A-Team intro: If you need a bagpiper, and you can afford it, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire .... anyway, I highly recommend him. And if you are reading this Mr. Rigler, thanks again.
Eric a true professional who not only plays the best bagpipes we’ve ever heard, but he also tell stories before each song to make them very personal and bring a life to them that we have never seen in any type of performer. Our family and our dear guests were so impressed with Eric’s presence, his ability to play the bagpipes, and his sincere engagement with the audience. He is a true professional who not only plays the best bagpiping we’ve ever heard, but also tell stories before each song to make them very personal and bring a life to them that we have never seen in any type of performer. We all thanked him for making our service so special!
Perfect performance. Very satisfied. He knew exactly what to do, was very punctual, and professional. Highly recommended.
I hired Eric to play the uilleann pipes (Irish bagpipes) at my wedding as a surprise for my husband and his family, who are from Northern Ireland. The music was beautiful, he looked sharp, and he was always responsive to my emails. There are not many people in the United States who play this instrument so I really lucked out. Thank you, Eric!
My mother had told me for years that she wanted a bagpipe to play at her celebrations of life. Mr. Rigler came early, we walked the venue and reviewed the service. Mr. Rigler played wonderfully at my mothers celebration of life. Its was more than I could help have hoped for. The music filled the Church and brought the service to life. His presentation and performance was awesome. I was told by many guests that the service was incredible. I was so pleased that everything worked out beautifully. Mom would have loved it. I couldn't have hoped for more. It was stirring, uplifting, and moving. A beautiful tribute to my mom. I loved it.
Eric brought a wonderful sound to my husband's celebration of Life. It was all I hoped for Lots of tears.
Could listen to him play for hours.
I highly recommend Eric. From his appearance in the full kilt and hat to his flawless performance, we thoroughly enjoyed having him.
Eric was prompt in replying to what I asked for and he played beautifully!
I wouldn't hesitate in choosing him for future events...
Thanks! Linda
Braveheart Bagpiper Eric Rigler's performance was rivoting. An assembly of dear neighbors, friends, family and the Brittanis club friends celebrating the life of Jemima Carter deceased at the age of 91 yrs - enjoyed the sounds of Eric Rigler and his very kind engaging conversations. We'll call on him again!!
Eric made the birthday event special for all - especially the guests of honor.
Walking in playing their song Amazing Grace - special to them because they met on a ship with the same name - Eric captured everyone's attention throughout the performance as he entertained them with additional medleys. I absolutely recommend Eric!
Eric was fabulous....an outstanding piper and a good fellow to boot.
Everything went perfectly!
We hired Mr. Eric regular for our wedding ceremony and for our cocktail hour. The music he played was amazingly beautiful. He played the highland bagpipes, the uillean pipes, and the Irish whistle. He allowed us to choose our music and he also helped us by providing us a CD with some common wedding songs. Which helped tremendously. He was professional, very kind, punctual, and looked fantastic in his outfit. I highly recommend him!
Eric's play was outstanding! We had him come to kick off our Christmas party. His performance brought the whole neighborhood out and stopped traffic! I highly recommend him!!!! Thank You!
Eric is wonderful
Eric (Brave❤️) is the best you can hire for any event. 5plus stars
We totally enjoyed his playing. He was easy to work with and very nice and friendly.
Hope to have him at other upcoming family events!!!
He was great!!!!
I was SO pleased to learn that an immense talent such as Eric Rigler would be available to play bagpipes for my Mom's funeral.
Working with Eric was SO easy and he is the CONSUMMATE professional...and an AMAZINGLY gifted piper...
Eric played off in the distance under an oak tree canopy at the graveside service in Westlake Village and then met us at the Church for the recessional and even played a short concert in the courtyard afterwards.
He was totally friendly, approachable, gracious, humble, kind, funny and was the absolute highlight of what was otherwise a somber day.
It was the perfect send-off to my Edinburgh-born Mom, one who loved "the skirl o' th' pipes" and Eric's tone, and technique are UNPARALLELED....
Highly, HIGHLY recommended...we are grateful to Eric for his talent, but more importantly, for the kind gentleman that he is....
I will never forget Eric's bagpipe music at my Scottish uncle's memorial service. The event was held at a restaurant situated next to a dock at the marina. To begin the service, Eric began playing at the end of the dock and as he played, he slowly walked towards our gathered group of friends and family. Several have told me that will remain an unforgettable moment they will never forget. In addition to the powerful bagpipe music, Eric's Scottish attire was very impressive. Eric was very easy to work with and I would strongly recommend him to anyone who wants beautiful bagpipe music at their event.
Eric played at my Wife's internment at the National Cemetery in Riverside, CA. It was a great experience. He knew what to do and when to do it. My Wife loved Irish Bagpipes and he made the ceremony extra special. I am so glade that I found him on GIGSALAD. I would not hesitate to use him again or to recommend him to a friend. Thank you for your service.
It was a pleasure working with Eric. Apart from being an incredible bagpiper, he was very professional and easy to work with right through the process.
Eric did an amazing job at our daughter's wedding. He played flawlessly and had all of the groom's Scottish relatives in tears. Truly a wonderful, accomplished, professional performer.
My wife and I wanted a bagpiper for our wedding and had the great honor of finding Eric. He was extremely helpful and amazingly skilled. He made or special day even more brilliant. I couldnt thank him enough for playing at our wedding and will surely call him again if ever needed.
I was looking for a bagpiper to play graveside for my mother in-law. Eric made this solemn event beautiful. He is a true professional and would highly recommend him to anyone one.
I want to thank you Eric for performing at my sisters memorial!!! You were so nice and very helpful and I loved the performance! Thanks again!
We hired Eric to play at my mom's memorial service. He surpassed our expectations in every way. He is incredibly talented, extremely kind and professional. I have no hesitations in recommending him to anyone looking to hire a bagpiper for their event.
We recently hired Eric for my Grandfather's memorial. I could not ask for more. His music was beautiful, his appearance was perfect, and he was a gentleman. I wouldn't look anywhere else. Thank you Eric.

My Aunt passed and my cousins requested I find a bagpiper for the grave sight. I had no idea how, where, or who to hire. I went on line, and called Eric and 3 others. He was the first to respond, was curteous, sincere and had wonderful referances, he was hired then.
Just wanted to send a quick THANK YOU to Eric Rigler! Eric was hired to perform for our Scottish friend's 60th Birthday Party with only one weeks notice, and WOW he really came through for us!!!Out of all the Bag Pipers that we interviewed by phone...Eric absolutely stood out from the rest!!!He was very pleasant, professsional and helped to make our friend's Birthday a memorable experience. Our friend was so surprised and we were so happy that we were able to capture this experience on video. Thanks Gig Salad. We hope to post some pix of the party soon.
I hired Eric RIgler to perform for my Mom's surprise 60th Birthday Party. The party was a Scottish Theme, and all of my Guests agreed that Eric and the dancer, Catherine, were the hit of the party. We all had tears in our eyes listening and watching the performance. Eric was professional, arriving on time, and being careful to not spoil the surprise. He was even kind enough to stay afterward and pose for pictures. If I am ever in need of hiring a Bagpiper again I will definitely request Eric Rigler.
After my husband passed away I went to New Zealand to be with family leaving a good friend to make the arrangements for his memorial to be held upon my return. She hired Eric to play 'Amazing Grace' walking among the guests, then down the stairs outside to finish while facing west. This was so fitting as my husband was a pilot and the service was held at the airport for the aviation community. Bring Scottish I have heard many a piper - none as superb as Eric. He truly is a master. His biography will attest to that. I highly recommend him for any function.
How fortunate I was to find Eric Rigler on your Web Site! I contacted him to perform at a memorial for a pilot who had "Gone West" and his playing of "Amazing Grace" left few with a dry eye. Not knowing anything about him before, when I read his bio, I was truly impressed. But, he certainly turned out to be even more than what was written for after spending even a brief time with him you find that he, personally, is truly special.
Eric Rigler was great. He played before and after the ceremony. The guests were amazed at how good he was. I highly recommend Eric. He even allowed us to come to his house approx 1 month before hand to discuss the ceremony and what we would like him to do. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
Eric is extremely talented as well as professional. He played the Scottish pipes for my wedding ceremony & I truly made my entrance unforgettable. The whole experience from selecting songs to piping my husband & I down the isle was a joy. Eric even went out if his way to learn a special song, not normally played on pipes, just for us. We highly recommend him!
I booked Eric on fairly short notice. I gave him some general guidance about what I wanted. I asked that he play Amazing Grace as the feature piece for my dad's interment ceremony at Fort Rosecrans in San Diego. I then asked that he fill in with other pieces as he found appropriate. His experience and professionalism gave me the confidence to leave it up to him to get it right. And he did exactly that. His performance was inspiring and spot on. As soon as the honor guard was introduced and the first melancholy notes rose up from where Eric was posted tears welled up in my eyes. Clearly, the bagpipes in such capable hands was exactly what the moment called for.
I strongly recommend Eric Rigler. Once you turn it over to Eric you will have nothing to worry about. If you want the best, Eric is the one.
Mr. Rigler is not only a gifted bagpiper but also a professional, thoughtful, and caring individual. He was genuinely interested in our event and the people who attended. We enjoyed his splendid music, conversations, and availability for pictures, pictures, pictures. He made my husband's birthday celebration a joyous, spirited, and most memorable occasion.
Eric was very professional in his manner and provided flawless bagpipe music. We enjoyed his company and would definitely recommend his services at any time. I would also recommend purchasing his music CDs - they are wonderful to listen to.
