I recently hired composer Andrew Monohan to write 9 solo violin and 1 violin and flute
piece for my play with music based on a Chekov play called “The Coffin Maker.”
Andrew went above and beyond my expectations. I paid him approximately $50 per
song and he composed the entire score to my show while he was on Zoom with me.
Andrew is a cellist and so writing for violin came very easily to him. Within one week,
he was done and wow! The result was spectacular! I am so happy to have hired
Andrew. The music is fantastic! I was able to right away show his work to a producer
and get immediately contracted to get it produced for the fall! Andrew gave me just
what I wanted and more. I have also heard Andrew play cello with my son, Zachary on
the clarinet. Andrew is a fun and generous collaborator. I highly recommend him.
