I am a Los Angeles based Hammond organ, piano, keyboard player AND ukulele player. In addition to performing around Southern California and touring world-wide, I'm also an educator, composer and arranger. I currently teach private lessons and I'm on piano faculty at the Los Angeles College of Music.
I am able to be contracted as a solo performer (piano, organ, ukulele...), or I can contract bands of all different genres and sizes depending on your events. One of the many things that (I think) help me stand out over others is that (if size and load in allow), I'll always bring real, vintage keyboards to live events. I feel it adds to the look, feel, and sound of my band and performance!
Carey Frank and the band he brought was an absolute highlight of my wedding. Everyone who attended can’t stop talking about how amazing they were. Carey was extremely communicative and on top of EVERYTHING leading up to the event. He even allowed my fiancé to sit in on a song. They pretuned his guitar for him and absolutely slayed matching his tone and rhythm. My family is full of musicians and everyone was blown away.
Response from Carey Frank:
Thank you for that amazing review Elle!!! We had so much fun and can't wait to see all of you at the next event
Played with us at The Mint LA with TOMER.
Super talented keyboard player.
I was fortunate to get in touch with Carey Frank. He delivered exactly what I was looking for in my quest for a ukulele player. In addition, he made sure I got what I wanted, was always available if I had any concerns, and was prompt. It was a pleasure working with him and I look forward to doing another project with him.
Response from Carey Frank:
Thanks so much Mike!! Great project and I’m looking forward to more!
Carey was wonderful to work with! Our guests really enjoyed him! Amazing! Look no further. ..he 's your guy! Very professional and when I need music at my next event I will ask for him!!!
Response from Carey Frank:
Thank you so so much for the kind words Janice!! It was a very fun party and I can't wait for the next one!!
My goodness, where to begin? My family and I are over the moon pleased with Carey and his band mates. From his communication, instruments, professionalism, and talent, he is the real deal!!!
To start, Carey was on point with communication. He responded quickly and was super helpful brainstorming options for our event. He gave a wide range of options- instrumental vs vocals to picking what instruments we wanted. My family and I went with drums, saxophone, and keyboard/organ.
On the day of the event, Carey arrived early to set up and was flexible with the start time. He and his bandmates were charming and kind. My family and I were truly impressed with the mobile organ and bass set up that Carey brought to the event. Such a rare experience to see and hear an organ outside a music hall/space.
I requested 70's hits and the band was on it! They also took requests! My family enjoyed dancing, singing, and watching the band play. Each member was incredibly talented and impressive! They tried to incorporate my family by encouraging to snap or sing along, making it interactive and fun. Carey even exchanged tips with my mom, who is a pianist.
Overall, I highly recommend Carey and his bandmates. You will not be disappointed! I am saving his contact information for all my future events. He's the best!
If you would like to see him in action, please check out the videos. I couldn’t upload them here so I put them all into this link:

Carey is A+++ musician all the way. He arrived early; played all the songs with passion; performed with soul while did so and remained friendly and supportive the whole night!! He shined and brightened my whole performance!! I loved every minute being on stage with him! He is a must have for any and all events! Truly versatile & excellent to work with!!
I had Carey pretend to be an old friend of mine and also requested he play an odd musical selection on the piano. Carey did amazing! With his help I was able to fool my girlfriend and follow up with a proposal that she will never forget. She is now my fiancée, and Carey help make that moment very special. Thank you Carey!!

I reached out to Carey to play/book musicians for a private party. He responded immediately and was able to work within my budget and also with the type of music I wanted. He offered several suggestions which helped me narrow down the best options for what this group of guests would most enjoy. He encouraged any special song requests as well. I felt confident throughout the process and when Carey and other band members arrived, they were pure professionals - they set up needing no assistance from me - which was good because I was in pre-party prep mode! Carey is a genuinely nice guy who is extremely talented on the keyboard and can play ANYTHING!!! He cares about the music, his clients, and does everything he can to ensure everyone is happy! My guests could not stop texting me the next day about the great music and how much fun they had. You can’t go wrong. Just reach out to Carey and he’ll take care of everything.
This is an amazing band ! We were Very impressed by their professionalism. They came early to set up, super easy going , the song choices were perfect, they really completed the party! We will definitely hire them again and refer then to anyone looking for a band with great music!
Carey arrived on time and ready to go which was perfect. He was very patient with my guest (they were requesting songs lol) and professional. He plays very well and has a good amount of songs that he covers. He came dress accordingly to the theme of the party (Luau Party) which was AWESOME. Carey help me make my proposal very special for the love of my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you, I couldn't have done it without you, man. I'm definitely will be hiring his talents again in the near future; hopefully, Carey and his band can play at my wedding :)
Carey and his crew were a joy to work with. Punctual. Fun. Knowledgeable. Professional. Respectful.
I would definitely work with Carey and crew again without a doubt.
Carey has played ukulele at a few of our events now, and he is great! He's very professional, flexible, and takes his team to get to know those at our events. We really enjoy having him back at our Hawaiian luau events each year!
Response from Carey Frank:
Thank you Ashley!!! I always love working with you guys!
Carey led a jazz organ trio for our outdoor wedding reception last year. I had seen him play at venues throughout LA over the years and was thrilled he could bring his personal gift to our celebration.
I was worried that the venue (it was a grass lawn next to the venue) might not lend itself to live music, which tends to dissipate outdoors. But not only was it not an issue, Carey's music magically put everyone, including my 95 year-old grandma, in the perfect mood to celebrate. I remember looking down at the courtyard from the second floor of the building, seeing everyone having such a great time, hearing those lovely hammond riffs flowing from that Leslie speaker, filling the space. It was a perfect moment.
The other thing I can say if you're worried about it: Carey "gets it" in terms of what kind of music to play at your event. He's not going to go hog wild because obviously the spotlight isn't on the band at your wedding. At the same time, he keeps the music fresh and alive, so people's ears perk up. You don't want a band at your wedding that "sounds like a wedding band," if you know what I mean. It makes things cheesy. But at our wedding it felt much more like, "Dude, you got Carey Frank to play your wedding! That's awesome!" OK, probably I was the one most excited about it :) but several of my musically inclined friends and family came up to me later with huge compliments for "that guy on the B3."
On the logistical side, Carey's team was courteous, professional, flexible, and on-time. Super easy to work with, no ego at all. Highly recommend!
Response from Carey Frank:
Thank you Bryan!!!!! That was a really fun event for all of us!!

No matter the event, no matter what instrument(s) I'm bringing, no matter the size of the band... I'm sure you'll be entertained! I've only ever had great responses from all of my clients and I'm usually always asked to perform again at future events. I want to make my clients happy so I'm always making sure my bands are dressed for the occasion and on time and ready to play minutes before our set times. If I'm playing solo, I will always be early with all of the gear and info needed ahead of time so that you have one less thing to stress about on the day of your event.
If you have any further questions, please reach out!
