Will was a great communicator and easy to work with. He is a skilled cellist and his music was soulful - absolutely perfect for our wedding ceremony! Worth every penny and more! Highly recommended! Thank you will!
Response from Will Teegarden plays Cello:
Thank you kindly, a pleasure to work with you!
We hired Will for our wedding. Emailed him what songs we were thinking of and he replied that he could play them all.
Never even met him before the event. He just showed up, played excellently for the specified time and then packed up and left when we were done.
Has to have been the most no-stress hiring of a musician that has ever happened. If you can handle light emailing, this is a no-brainer decision. Hire Will, he's a pro.
I have nothing to say but incredibly thankful and supportive words for Mr. Will Teegarden. I planned a surprise proposal for my girlfriend and wanted to add a special touch with a cellist there to play her favorite song. I reached out and connected with Will pretty last minute - and I am so, so fortunate that I did. Will was so quick to respond, willing to be part of the surprise, and was incredibly helpful prior to the event coordinating with me on my quirky proposal plan. The day of the event and the proposal went brilliantly, largely thanks to Will being there early, nicely dressed and playing her favorite song so beautifully. Will was incredibly accommodating, friendly and supportive, and his music was absolutely amazing. I would offer the strongest recommendation and highest praise of Will's skill and professionalism to anyone looking for a cellist at their event. I would unquestionably have Will at any of my future events - Thanks Will!!!
We worked with Will for our wedding ceremony in September 2019 at The Pennsylvanian downtown Pittsburgh. He was accommodating, professional, and extremely talented. We are still getting compliments on the wedding ceremony music two months later! He worked with all of our requests and helped to guide us through our music selection. We would highly recommend Will to anyone considering a cellist for an event. Thank you, William!
Will was so easy to work with - I had no idea where to start with music and he helped us pick beautiful selections. Most importantly... he played beautifully!!!
We were more than pleased with the cello performance at our wedding. While Will Teegarden was unable to perform for the event due to unforeseen conflicts, he did an outstanding job of, in more than ample time, finding an alternative cellist who was both somebody he trusted and an outstanding musician, Cecilia Caughman. Ahead of the event, Will and I had discussed logistics including most importantly, the pieces to be performed, and all of this was communicated perfectly to Cecilia.
I worked further with Cecilia on things like the procession order, and even though I believe there were literal last minute changes to this by the event coordinator from what I had told Cecilia, this was not a problem at all for her.
A solo cellist was just the right musical accompaniment to our ceremony as well as the cocktail hour that immediately followed. I was happy to work with both individuals in the lead up to the event, and I knew we wouldn't have a thing to worry about the day of the wedding. Thank you both!
I cannot say enough about how wonderful an experience it was having Will and his accompanist play at our wedding. !!!!
Will was very helpful prior to the wedding and willing to accommodate any request that we had.
The day of the wedding was moving very fast for us, but luckily Will and his accompanist were early to the event and prepared to play.
Their music was beautiful and they were able to handle a couple "out-of-plan" situations that occurred.
I would recommend Will to anyone looking for a cellist at their event and will definitely ask him to return to any event in my future.
Thanks a lot Will !!!!

In 2019, Will was featured as a soloist on Tan Dun's "Elegy: Snow in June" with the NAT 28 contemporary ensemble of Pittsburgh. At Carnegie Mellon, he earned first prize with his colleagues in the school's Silberman Chamber Music Competition with an enthusiastically received rendition of Oliver Messiaen's "Quatuor pour la fin du temps". Additionally, Will has attended the National Repertory Orchestra, Brevard Music Center, and the Innsbrook Institute Summer Festivals.
I provide music stands and stand lights as needed. Please provide a covered, dry performance area for outdoor events (ie tent, out of the sun.) Too much sun can melt the adhesive glue which holds the wood together in the cello.
