Hello! I am Shengyu! I am a classical - trained Cellist! I play majority of Classical rep, however I have experience on performing other music styles as well! (Pop music, Jazz music and some movie tracks!) I am able to arrange and bring you a variety of chamber sittings with different musicians! And help you personalized a rep lists and/or practice any song requests from you prior of time!
I have performed in Retirement houses, Hotels, Weddings, Birthday Parties, Dinners, Churches. Whatever your event is, I will make it fun and memorable!
Booked an event. No communication. I called her three days before and told me that she booked another event that day. She then lied to me that on her end it looked like I cancelled the event. I know it was a lie, since I called Gig Salad to confirm -- they saw it from her end and it showed that the event was still showing as booked on her end.

I apologize for your dissatisfaction ! Hope your event went smoothly.
I communicated you through text on the day of your booking (11/2) which is about more than a week before the event and did not hear back from you until three days before your event. Firstly, It is hard for any musicians to prepare reps and materials in a short period of time like this.
Because the event was showing "No longer available" for me before you called me, and I did not hear from you at all. I have accepted another booking that came through after.

Shengyu really is wonderful! She is talented, graceful, and the perfect balance of being professional and friendly. She is also very responsive, and detail-oriented. Shengyu plays beautifully, and presents herself well as she performs. Her cello sounds great and she was able to make the songs (that I requested) her own. She is experienced in classical music, yet also covers modern pop songs in a charming way. The unique experience I had with her was that we performed together. I proposed to my girlfriend, and wanted to perform a song first. I chose a duet of the song “Can’t help falling in love.” I was on the piano, but Shengyu was the star of the show and she did great!
This performance required a rehearsal prior to the event, and Shengyu was flexible about this. Her wisdom and experience was evident during our rehearsal, and I was confident moving forward that our performance would be a success. It surely was!
Shengyu is reasonably priced, experienced, and a pleasure to work with. I confidently recommend her with 5 stars. If you book her, you will not be disappointed.
Shengyu played wonderfully with her violinist for our personal event! The music was so tasteful and she was such a pleasure to coordinate with. On time, well-prepared, and musically talented - amazing job, Shengyu!
