Ceremonial Violinist / Wedding Musician

What you can expect from me is a violinist with feeling, I am an emotional performer and I put my heart and soul into anything I perform. I am professional with a relaxed feel. I love to give classical songs a bit of a contemporary vibe and pop songs a bit of a fiddle style, with embellishments and pizazz. I love to mesh styles of music. I am capable of performing many different styles from jazz to pop all the way to traditional Greek Orthodox musical requests.

What you can expect with musical arrangements. When it comes to arrangements I get creative, from cinematic to classy. You can expect a Bridgeeton style arrangement for most song requests that I arrange for weddings and special events. I can also arrange in other influences and styles to give a more cinematic or romantic ambiance. If the client has a more casual event in mind I can play a variety of styles arranged in a pop-fiddle style.

Hello my name is Catherine Copeland, and I love music!

I am a vocalist, violinist and I also play piano.
I have played violin for 20 yrs and have performed locally for 10 yrs.

In my youth I took the stages of Carnegie Hall, as concert master to our schools symphony. During this time I began my gigging musical career. I started to play weddings and local events and fundraisers like Ryan Zimmermans charity foundation.

I currently teach music lessons locally, as well as write and arrange my own music.

I have toured nationally in the band “Evil Woman” the America ELO (Electric Light Orchestra Tribute) playing at many theaters, arenas and concert halls all over the USA.

I currently play in the local ensemble La Primavera Strings for private and public events.

I have collaborated with many ensembles and other musical artists for events, projects, studio recordings and would be happy to accompany other musicians looking for a violinist!

I typically play acoustic, but I have an electric pick up on my violin I use as well If needed, (this is used to plug into the sound system) if I am placed near the DJ I can always plug into their system. I can also provide a small amp to plug into if required for said location.

When I’m solo I stand for my performances so I don’t typically need a chair unless it’s requested by the guests that I sit.

If you book a full ensemble (duet-trio-quartet) I typically ask the venue to provide chairs. If the venue cannot provide chairs that’s totally okay we just need to know in advance. For outdoor summer performances I only ask if it’s possible that a shady spot be reserved for myself and other musicians while we perform. Thank you!
