Chris Weaver, a New York native, grabbed America’s attention opening Season 13 of The Voice with “Try A Little Tenderness” turning all four chairs! Chris’ soulful sounds even caused judges to throw articles of clothing in enjoyment of his sound. Jennifer Hudson was so riveted she threw a shoe at him, a form of high praise, ultimately resulted in her becoming his mentor.
As if that wasn’t enough, Chris then introduced himself as a worship leader by day and drag queen by night! Chris continued to advance in the competition finishing in the Top 24, an untimely elimination indeed. Weaver was brought back to perform in the season finale, where he introduced the world to his drag persona, Nedra Belle. Nedra performed “Bang Bang” alongside music superstar Jessie J, and NYC singing drag group, “Stephanie’s Child”. Since The Voice Chris has been traveling the world, as Chris Weaver and Nedra Belle, sharing his power vocals, creating new music and making personal appearances including a special request performance from Theresa Caputo ( The Long Island Medium).
Chris Released his Christmas single “Mary Did You Know'' in December 2019 and won the Akademia Award 2020, His vocal flexibility and acrobatic runs are nothing like you hear in music today. Due to Covid, Chris performs on his weekly show “Chris Weaver Performing Live” on a streaming platform and social media where he continues to garner national and international attention.
