Alexis Mitrushi just graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Viola Performance, as well as a minor in GSFS, studying with Kirsten Docter. She is originally from Houston, Texas. She has worked with musicians: Dimitri Murrath, Ivo Jan Van der Werff, Yu Jin, Lynne Ramsay, Julia Clancy, Eric Wong, Karen Ritscher, Suzanne LeFevre, and Andrea Bocelli. She has attended Encore and Chautauqua music festivals, and she has served as Principal Violist. She is currently a substitute violist for Firelands Symphony Orchestra and a viola coach for Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra and has served as a Viola TA for Oberlin OASO. She will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Viola Performance.
