Do not use this vendor for any event ever! She will want full payment up front, and then will ask for additional money at a later date. She will then lie about everything. She scammed my family member, and still has not paid back the money she owes, nor has she given back the alcohol she stole. RUN fast AWAY from this vendor!

Marcella McWeeny with Couple of Bartenders was hired for a party I was having. Once hired she wanted the entire amount up front. She then offered to purchase alcohol. This required more money and she came back two more times the following day to ask for additional amounts of money. She promised she’d send a receipt for this liquor purchase which she was never able to provide. With the growing uneasiness I was experiencing with the entire thing I asked her for the liquor prior to the event. I planned two separate times to meet her to pick up the alcohol and both times, the night before, she had an excuse of the liquor being locked in a storage unit to which she had no access.

At this point I terminated our agreement realizing what was happening and had no confidence she would even show up for the event. This is three weeks prior to the event. She stated she was “in no position to refund the event”. There were a few back and forths giving her time to get the money back to me, but it has been a month now with no refund. I also highly encourage anyone thinking of hiring her to google her name first.

I hired them for my wife’s birthday. I had researched a few other places and requested a quote and never really heard back from anyone and the ones I did were booked. Couple of Bartenders answered and I this point it was down to the wire so I hired them. They kept calling me to coordinate and make sure all our needs were met. The day of the actual party they showed up early. The staff was friendly and accommodating and my guests love them; so much so that we needed up extending them twice that night and they were happy to oblige. So I would definitely recommend them and plan to use them in the future. I do recommend to anyone that wants to book to do it with plenty of time to prepare because Marsella (the owner) and I were on the phone pretty much everyday and it was a busy wedding week. So booking early and getting the details sorted early will result in a pleasant experience.

I contracted and paid for the services of A Couple of Bartenders to cover a birthday party. They never showed up, claiming an accident. This was an important event and made a major disruption to the event. Attempts to reach the owner for resolution have been unsuccessful and no action has occurred to repay the amount.
