Dj Hank Pollard was hired for the grand opening of my organization's new space/holiday party. Dj Hank Pollard was absolutely amazing!! With an incredibly mixed crowd (age, race, gender, etc) he energized the space with his music and got everyone on their feet. He was professional, fun, and had a great team helping him I'd definitely hire him again!
My Birthday Celebration turned out to be incredible fantastic. I have to say. Because of Dj Hank Pollard. From the time the music opened up there was none stop dancing. The music seem to be the drive. My friends are still talking about my Dj and may want to use Dj Hank Pollard at their up coming celebration.
DJ Hank is the way to go when considering music for your party. He met with my husband before the day of the actual party so that he knew what equipment he needed. On the day of the party he arrived early to set up, from that point forward the music was fantasic. OMG, we were having a sort of Motown theme b-day celebration. When we were being served food, Motown oldies played, when there was no food, we had great music to dance to. It was non-stop partying. My guests loved the party and are still talking about what a great time they had, and the music was a big part of it. I would definitely book DJ Hank again. Thank you DJ Hank for being such an great part of our party.

Focused initially on "Old School" dance / club music but over the years expanded to 50s Doo Wop, 60s Motown era R&B and light Rock, 70s era Pre Disco, Disco, Quiet Storm Slo Jams, Classic Rap (No Gangsta Rap), House Music (classic and current), Dance / Club Music, Jazz, Standards......I could go on.
Its hard to be good in so many genres but its all in the research to customer needs and doing homework. I take all of this and tailor the playlist to the customers specific needs.
Took early retirement from day job to focus on "full time" D business and added to sound system for larger venues 2013
I initially saw my job as "making people dance" to put it simply. Now to be more accurately, my job description is broader, and I strive to do whats needed to make the event a success.
Towards that end I have
One or two face to face meetings to go over event and playlist
One visit to site at least three weeks in advance of event to get an idea of equipment needed and placement of DJ and speakers
Day of event, arrival on site will be early enough to have completed set up at least 1 hour prior to any guest arrival.
Will work closely with event planner in terms of timing any special requests.
I provide excellent customer service possess good communication skills and take pride in a job well done.
