Steven did a great job at my wedding! He helped us pick songs before hand, showed up early for the set up, and did a great job on the mic! He rocked the the party until our venue closed and kicked us out! HIGHLY recommend!

My DJ career started at the age of 16 with a weekly radio show at my high school radio station in Dallas, Texas. I continued in radio during college, as well as playing both public and private events. After graduation, I became a professional DJ and Event Coordinator, playing numerous public and private events, acting as resident DJ for several area restaurants, lounges, and nightclubs, and helping plan academic conferences at Duke University. I later became the owner and head DJ of Mosaic Lounge, planning, hosting, and playing countless public and private events, as well as planning and hosting the annual Mosaic Spring & Fall Music Festivals. I have also performed numerous times at both the Mi Casa Music Holiday in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and in South Beach during the Miami Winter Music Conference, as well as events in London, Ibiza, New Orleans, and other locations around the globe.
My musical background began at age 6 playing the piano in my hometown of Dallas, Texas. I switched to voice at age 9, joining the Texas State Choir and serving as Head Chorister of the St. Mark’s Choir, and began performing around Texas, the Midwest, and later on European tours in locations including Notre Dame Cathedral (Paris), Mont Saint-Michel (Normandy), St. Paul’s Cathedral (London), St. David’s Cathedral (Wales), St. Mary’s Cathedral (Edinburgh) and Yorkminster Cathedral (York). I then attended Wake Forest University, where I joined the University Chorus and sang backup for poet Maya Angelou during the musical premier of her presidential inaugural poem “On The Pulse Of Morning.” My graduate studies at Duke and Oxford Universities led to in-depth research in ethnomusicology and music history, culminating in an award-winning graduate thesis titled “The Significance of Sound.”
My background in music and career in the DJ/Event Services industry has spanned the majority of my life. I believe that my years of experience as a performer and my professional background in the other aspects of the event services industry have helped me become a better DJ, as I understand all the different components of planning, hosting, and putting on an event, in addition to the musical performance itself. I consider myself fortunate to have followed my passion and do what I love!
All of my equipment is professional quality, with brands including Pioneer, Apple, QSC, Native Instruments, Shure, and Denon. Unless otherwise specified, I arrive one hour ahead of time to set up, do a sound check, and prepare for the event. It normally takes me around forty-five minutes to tear down after a gig. I can provide microphones, loudspeakers, fog, background/uplighting, and lasers.
