EJ always aims for quality. If it doesn't look good or sound good, its not something he'd be a part of. Visual and Audio is key to his work so if hired or simply come to watch his performance and creations, there is no doubt that you will be left in awe. EJ Luna is an independent drummer from Atlantic City NJ, USA. At a very young age EJ grew to admire the instrument and taught himself how to play. Influenced by Mike Portnoy, Marco Minnemann, Benny Greb, Thomas Lang, and JoJo Mayer, he grew to be a well rounded musician. He formally played in and was one of the founding members of Eternal Essence, A Progressive Rock band based in NJ. He also had established the spot as the drummer for Hope Kills Fear, A Christian Rock band based out of New York City, fronted by Carly Coma who is the singer for the critically acclaimed band Canderia.
After parting ways with Eternal Essence, and Hope Kills Fear, EJ focused on his Video Productions of Thematic and Mainstream Drum Covers on YouTube and creating Vlogs to document his journey as a content creator and musician. Various other projects are in the works and he is always looking for more.
I run tracks out of Logic X on my MacBook Pro coming out of a Scarlett 2i4. I also provide accent lights for the drums. I prefer the following to be available to alleviate the work and expense to acquire it on my end as i am the only one doing it all in set up. (I have no Team... Yet)
Sound:
High quality system with monitoring capabilities. In ear preferred but some sort of monitor so i can hear the tracks and drum mix.
The front of house should have a system to amplify the tracks over the drums to mesh the sound. I am not a light hitting player so the audio would need to be amplified to match my drums sound. That would mean a powerful speaker system with subwoofers for quality and clarity.
Depending on location, drums may or may not be set up with microphones.
Lights:
Lights aren't a major necessity as i provide accent lighting. Although i am very big on lighting because it just adds to the performance and effects. So if it is available I'd be more than happy to utilize it all.
Stage:
Should be big enough to accommodate all audio, lights and drum equipment.
Depending on location and environment set lists are subject to change. Instead I will include songs I have available to cover at this given time.
