I provide solo cello musical services for various types of events throughout the Southern California area, including weddings, cocktail hours, corporate parties, birthday celebrations, and more. I have a classically trained background, having studied with Dr. David Garrett of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, but my adventures as a professional cellist over the past twenty years has lead me to perform multiple musical genres and also work as an arranger for various ensembles - string quartets, chamber orchestras, cello ensembles, and duos of all combinations. I look forward to hearing from you!
Chris and Mike played so beautifully, and the vocals were incredible. The combo between the two that played several styles of instrument between them played flawlessly. Thank you both for such a memorable dinner! Highly recommend!

A diverse musical experience unlike any other solo cellist!
Chris received his Bachelors in Instrumental Music from California State University Long Beach’s Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, studying under Dr. David Garrett, cellist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Joon Sung Jun. He has attended master classes with Johannes Moser, Matt Haimovitz, Andrew Shulman, Joon Sung Jun, and the Alexander String Quartet. He is a registered teacher with the American String Teachers Association and Suzuki Association of the Americas. Chris has completed Suzuki pedagogy with Rick Mooney and Dr. Tanya Carey.
Currently, Chris is in his twelfth season as Associate Principal Cellist with the Sea Coast Symphony. He also regularly performs with Corona Symphony, OC Philharmonic, Symphony Irvine, and Southern California Philharmonic. He was a founding member of Love4Cello, a cello quartet based in Los Angeles, where he also serves as the group’s arranger. In 2014, as a member of the Southern California Chamber Ensemble, Chris performed in Nagoya, Japan, with renowned urhu virtuoso George Gao. He is a string coach for numerous high school and middle school orchestra programs throughout Orange County, and is the cello teacher for the Casa Romantica Music Festival & Academy. Chris has freelanced and taught privately in the Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County, and San Diego County areas since 2003.
I am available to create a unique arrangement of your song requests for your event! Contact me for more information!
