Rolando Fernandez is a native of Ciudad Victoria, Mexico. He began study of the trumpet at age 11 and has since studied with Dr. Benny Ferguson, Dr. John Bryant, and Jonathan Swygert. Rolando holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Trumpet Performance from Young Harris College and a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance degree from the Mercer University Townsend School of Music. Rolando has appeared as a soloist throughout the Southeast and has performed with several professional ensembles like Enotah Brass, Georgia Brass Band, and Peachtree Symphony Wind. He currently lives in Canton, Georgia where he teaches a private studio and works as a clinician and freelance performer in Metro Atlanta.
