Whether you need a solo musician or a full band, Fiddlin' Mike Ferry may be the perfect fit. With nearly four decades of performing experience, Fiddlin' Mike Ferry plays a wide array of traditional, classical, and popular songs and would make any event more memorable. Mike's fiddle/percussion duo, Carrickfinn, presents a unique blend of Irish, Scottish, and American fiddle tunes with a modern twist. Finally, Mike is also a member of Weekend Excursion, a pop rock band that may be a perfect fit for your corporate event or private party.
I have booked Fiddlin' Mike several times and each time he has been AMAZING! I will definitely book again & again! Highly recommend!
Mike was great for our wedding ceremony! He was a good communicator and flexible and listened to our needs well! Would highly recommend!
Mike Ferry set the tone for wedding processional! He is a true professional in his craft! Everyone loved him and his string band! Truly exceptional!
Mike was great to work with and made the event memorable.
From the beginning, Mike was extremely pleasant to work with. He was able to accommodate all of my requests and the guests loved him!
He is a wonderful artist, and I would absolutely recommend Mike to anyone who asks!
I hired Mike Ferry and Ferry Crossing for my outdoor wedding this past weekend at Brix & Columns Vineyards in the Shenandoah Valley. Mike played solo for my ceremony and it was the most beautiful addition which tied the entire motif together. When Mike played my "marching song" a lovely Irish inspired tune that I asked for, I have been relayed that there was not a dry eye in the house. Allowing 110 guests to cry with joy I believe is a testament to how beautifully he played. Additionally, he was kind, easy to talk to, professional, and came very early to set up and make sure everything was ready. After the ceremony Mike along with his band Ferry Crossing played throughout cocktail hour and it was the best backdrop for guests to enjoy a cocktail and horderves while taking in the beautiful mountain scenery. No matter what your event, I believe that adding this string quartet to your event to do's really elevates the experience for you and your guests. If you are juggling between what options to pick and choose for your wedding or event, I highly recommend hiring Fiddlin' Mike Ferry this choice made all the difference.
Mike was excellent to work with. He was perfect for our event and it was a pleasure meeting him. He is an accomplished musician and covers all musical genres. He will definitely be my go to person when ever I need a violinist or fiddler or an entire band to entertain. Thank you Mike.
Highly reccommend Fiddlin' Mike Ferry! He was fantastic and so much fun! To have a fiddlin' band was a big change from our usual bands but it was a refreshing change! The community loved it! We will definitel have him out here again!
Mike played a recent Sofar Sounds show in Richmond, VA and was a huge hit! The audience cheered after each song, and we thoroughly enjoyed the sentiment and background story for each composition. If you have the chance to hire Mike for a performance, take it. He’s one of the most talented fiddle players I’ve heard!
We had the pleasure of hearing Mike play live at the Rockville Center and he was phenomenal! He's incredibly talented and kept the crowd lively. It's amazing how the atmosphere of a place becomes alive with good music! We were so happy listening to him, we ended up buying two of his albums.
We enjoyed hearing the upbeat songs and the stories about them. Great mix of music and information. Great energy. Very positive fellas. Concert length was perfect!
Mike Ferry was so much fun to watch at the Brewery! He created the perfect atmosphere for having a beautiful night outdoors enjoying beverages with friends. He engages with his audience and his music is such a nice break from the norm. The up-tempo songs are enjoyable for the whole family. Mike is a true musician & entertainer! Highly recommend!
Such an awesome show at the chester arts center on st. Patrick's day! The music was phenomenal. Mike and Dan rocked the house for sure.
I've seen lots of shows but this is definitely one of the best.

This guy crushed it last night (March 17th) during a performance at the Perkinson Center for the Performing Arts in Chester, Virginia. He put on a fantastic show, which happened to occur on St. Patrick’s Day. It was a magical night, transported by Mike's enthusiasm and passion streaming from his fiddle. . Not only was Mike Ferry a virtuoso on the fiddle, but he placed each piece of music in context -- from its Irish/Scotch Irish origins and its occasional manifestation in Appalachian bluegrass. If you get a chance to see Mike Ferry, I highly recommend it! You are in for a treat!
If you're lucky enough to have the opportunity to see Fiddlin' Mike Ferry live, you won't regret it. Fiddlin' Mike Ferry brings a lot of enthusiasm and authenticity to each of his performances. His jovial and approachable manner is endearing and infectious and his knowledge of Ireland, Irish music, and American history will leave you knowing a lot more about those subjects. When it comes to his playing and his own compositions, you will surely be impressed. In all a wonderful uplifting experience for all ages.
