Gwen Thomas is a pioneer in the Experiential Marketing Industry. In 1988, Thomas formed Promotions Unlimited 2000, Inc., in Chicago Illinois after landing Miller Brewing Company and Coca-Cola. She moved to Michigan where she worked diligently to land automotive business. Her team worked on marketing and events for Ford dealers in the 1980s, Chrysler and their dealers in the 1990's and General Motors and Mercedes Benz in the 2000s. In 2007, GM finally awarded Thomas a well- deserved auto show and On Star contract in ten cities, after a decade of pitching. Thomas also worked with numerous consumer brands from the beauty industry to food products across the board. She made her biggest enroll into the hip-hop and gospel era, where she worked on music tours with Grammy award winners like Mary J. Blige, and Yolanda Adams and a host of others. As a result of a devasting downtown in the economy in 2009, her largest client, GM, eliminated most new suppliers and filed bankruptcy. Today, her industry specialty is casting, and she maintains a client base with Office Depot, Home Depot, Whole Foods, and several production companies.

In 2010, Thomas shifted gears and began working with high school and college students teaching them to brand themselves and create an impactful narrative to win scholarships to pay for their college education. Thomas had been successful in helping her son brand himself, which in turn helped him earn $500,000 in direct scholarships and travel abroad to more than 30 countries while attending undergrad and grad school. Soon after that, Thomas founded Fresh Perspectives Seminars, a non-profit organization that helps families get on the trajectory to win scholarships to pay for college. She has helped students win a reported $12 million in scholarships. Thomas has facilitated workshops more than 50 workshops and is a subject matter expert on scholarships. She has spoken on the subject of college debt, paying for college, study abroad, and preparation for 21st-century careers. Thomas has been a guest speaker and facilitator in 10 states, 20 cities, and five countries. Her clients include the University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Oakland University, Michigan State, Howard University, The Abundant Life Foundation, Bennet College, and The U.S. State Dept, to name a few.

Thomas educated in the State of Michigan. She received a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Oakland University. Thomas is the author of "The Parents Smart Guide to Sending Your Kids to College without Going Broke." She has received numerous honors and awards in Michigan and Washington DC.
