Half Moon Sword is a NYC based sword dance team, which has been dancing together since 1981. Our skillful dance displays have gained us a reputation here and in England for precision and fresh interpretations of traditional sword dances. The members of Half Moon Sword share a love of this dance form with all its ritual and mystery.

Price Range: $200-1000
Our dances are each about 5 minutes long (as seen in the videos). We always perform with live, acoustic music (fiddle, guitar or concertina).
Our sword team ranges in size from 5 (the minimum number to dance) to 16 members in total plus 3 musicians.
We can perform for as little as 5 minutes (one dance), about 45 minutes (all our dances with a little explanation about what the audience is seeing). We can also invite interested audience members to learn how to make a star with the swords (generally a hit with both the kids and adults)
