Shawn played for my Father's memorial service, which had an Honor Guard and taps. He was a most excellent Piper. I highly recommend!
Shawn played at my father’s funeral. He was awesome. Professional punctual and a great bagpipe player. I would highly recommend him
Response from Hold Fast Piping:
Thank you very much for your review. I appreciate your time. You and your brother organized a great service in a difficult situation.
All the best,
Shawn
This was for my Dads funeral service. Shawn was at the Church early he presented us with the plan of where he would stand and play before and after the service. He did an awesome job played beautifully, highly recommend him.
Response from Hold Fast Piping:
Thank you for your kind words. It was a privilege to be part of your service.
We had Hold Fast Piping come to my aunts funeral, yesterday. He was fantastic! So professional with texting us that he was in his way, checking in with the churches musics director, even before we got there, which was half an hour early! He reiterated what we wanted, helped us come up with the songs to play, and played beautifully! Couldn’t have asked for a better way to send our Irish loved one off with!
Response from Hold Fast Piping:
Thank you very much for your consideration and kind review. It was a privilege to perform at the service. I’m sure Irish Mary was pleased with your efforts.
Sean really went outof his was in his executing piping my mother in laws send off. People will be talking about it forever.
Thank you so much.
Price Range: $200 and up.
I arrive early and work with the point of contact/event planner to determine what exactly will work best. I note things like ceiling and doorway height, where I may enter or exit, duration of play and any special concerns such as small children or others who may not appreciate an instrument as loud as bagpipes. I will be honest with you in my assessment of what will work and what we should consider modifying if necessary.
I was trained by noted bagpiper and adjudicator Bruce Burt of Detroit. I have been playing for a little over ten years. During that time I have performed at all manner of events. For the last six years, until my retirement, I was the bagpiper for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard. I am the Pipe Sgt for the Gr4 Dunedin Pipe Band.
I would rather not play in the rain for an extended period of time. I need approximately 8' from floor to ceiling to accommodate the height of my pipes. It can be very difficult to play and walk through rough terrain but we can work through it.

I need a place to tune up for approximately 30 minutes before a performance. Preferably one free of background noise as possible. A parking lot, behind the building in question or other area is fine.
