What to Expect
I am very proficient at creating arrangements of existing popular songs, and I can create a setlist that has a mix of whatever songs the event planner would like to hear, some of my own originals, and some jazz standards/other arrangements that I have in my repertoire currently.
About
I am a graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, where I received my Master’s in Music Performance. I am a composer, arranger, freelance musician, and private music lessons instructor. I primarily perform on and compose music for steel pans. I am also proficient at playing all of the concert percussion instruments, as well as playing different hand percussion instruments.
Additional Booking Notes
I have a very minimal set up. I just require about 8 feet of space for my instrument and optional amplifier/speaker if backing tracks are preferred by the event planner. In that case, I will also need access to a power source to plug in my equipment.
If I am performing outside, a covering of some sort would be required and greatly appreciated. Just something to protect the steel pans from the sun/rain.
*If you have a request for a song that is not already on my set list, I will happily arrange the tune and learn it before the gig, but there will be a $20 fee per song to cover the time to arrange and learn it. Thank you!
