Experience the healing tones and rhythms of the Native American Flute. Meditative and relaxing, or spirited and traditional, this special music is of the Earth and from the heart. I am available for stage concerts, gallery openings, fund raisers, yoga/meditation sessions, funeral/memorial services... Just ask.
I can work with the existing sound system at the venue, or I can bring a small amp, and mic as needed.
I play solo Native American flute, with a Native and/or New Age vibe, but to be clear, I am not Native American. I'm blond and blue.
Joe is an exceptionally talented flute player who provided beautiful Native American flute music for my mother's Celebration of Life. He was quick to respond when I contacted him, and he was very accommodating when I asked him to chat on the phone before I booked the gig. He showed up early on the day of the event and stayed late when the event ran longer than expected. Joe's playing was both soulful and soothing, and it helped to create a peaceful and reflective atmosphere for the celebration. I specifically sought out a player of Native American flute music for the celebration because my mother had been a flute player herself. Joe went above and beyond by learning one of my mother's songs and it was incredibly moving to hear him playing her own music during her Celebration of Life. I would highly recommend Joe to anyone looking for a talented and professional flute player!
Response from Joe Yeatman:
Thank you Audrey. It was a blessing for me, to be able to participate in your Mother's celebration of life. If I can ever serve you again, in happy times or sad, don't hesitate to call me. Joe
Joe was excellent. He played Native American background music at a wedding and the music was enjoyed by all. In planning the event he was very accommodating to any of our needs.
Response from Joe Yeatman:
Thanks Howard! It was a beautiful spot to have the ceremony, and I enjoyed playing there. I hope the newlyweds enjoy the CD's too.
We had Joe play his flutes for us at a little event we hosted for some workmates who were visiting the US for the first time. They were very impressed. I was very pleased it all went well. Highly recommended.
Response from Joe Yeatman:
Thank you Alan. It was my pleasure to provide a little Southwest for you and your guests.

Live solo Native American flute music. Most of my music is what we call 'Heart Song', another way of saying improvisation. I have recorded/published around 100 songs, and every one is such an improv, with 1 exception. I recorded a version of Amazing Grace on my 3rd album - Unbroken.
When playing live, I mostly play solo flute. I occasionally use a musical backing track, or a drone (synth pad or shruti box) for a background.
Joe Yeatman plays the Native American flute. As a musician, Joe is active in the local Native American Flute community and has released 9 albums, and several singles. Joe's music can be found on Spotify, Pandora, iTunes, etc. and on his website - (link hidden)
For small gigs, I can bring my own sound equipment (mic, mic stand, amplifier, cables). Larger venues will need stage equipment (sound and lighting) to be provided/managed by the venue.
I can also perform as a roving/roaming performer, using a label mic and a small amp worn on my belt.
Set consists of improvisational Native American flute music performed on various flutes. If desired, I can also educate/inform the audience about this sort of music, and the flutes.
Joe Yeatman is influenced by Native American flute and World Flute greats Mary Youngblood, Keith Bear, Kelvin Mockingbird, R. Carlos Nakai, Peter Phippen, and Coyote Oldman; and you can hear it in his playing. Musical, but not musically trained, Joe's music embraces what the Japanese call Wabi-sabi.
