I heard Mike speak to homeless people at the Helping Up Mission in Baltimore. He spoke with such empathy and compassion from being where they were the men listened and connected with him. He is really an outstanding speaker. I have heard him speak several times since and have been amazed at how he touches people. He offers a window into a life I have never known and would not appreciate except for his eloquent stories of his experiences. I read his first book and ordered his second and he is just as articulate in print as he is in person. I hardily recommend him as a speaker and writer. He can bring people into the life of the homeless, addicted and hopeless the way no others can because he lived it.
