Joyce Williams-Samedy is a New York-born performer who started her career at 11 years old. Her music incorporates opera, show tunes, contemporary and traditional Christian, and jazz influences. Because of her experience and her ability to empathize, she can help create/tailor your program to suit your needs. Joyce has performed at worship ceremonies, weddings, and funerals. She has worked diligently at her dream to share her love of music with others. Joyce has a recurring role as a cantor for the Catholic Faith Network.
Joyce Williams-Samedy entertained the Father Bukey Council at their 25th anniversary on October 28th, and oh what a pleasure it was to hear her sing. She had the audience totally captivated from her very first note. They were mesmerized by her pure soprano, and the story she told, about the discovery and love affair with her art.
Her repertoire was a medley of show tunes from Broadway in English, French and Spanish, and at end of her performance, which lasted a little over an hour, she had the audience clamoring for more.
She was great, and I can't wait to see her next show.
