We were looking for something special for our micro-wedding in Charlottesville and absolutely found it with Kelly! She provided our ceremony music, cocktail-hour music, and even learned our first dance song to play that for us! It was magical and really elevated our event to feel like a scene straight out of Bridgerton. Kelly was a great communicator (we went back and forth a few times about our ceremony and dance song choices and she was extremely flexible and helpful throughout the entire process). She was professional, polite, and positively joyful throughout the entire time we worked together. Many guests commented on how talented she is and how lovely it was to have her music at our event. We highly recommend working with Kelly!
My fiancé and I were looking for a violinist for our wedding ceremony a few months ago. We reached out several other local violinists and came away more frustrated than we started, until we messaged Kelly. Kelly was such a breath of fresh air, and her communication style was both very friendly and very responsive. We shared our vision for the ceremony violinist. Her base setlist was a great fit, and she learned to play a song not on her list just for us. Come wedding day, Kelly crushed it. Her violin skills are fantastic, and we could not have been more pleased with the music played. Many of our guests had compliments to share about her too. Bottom line, if you need or want a professional violinist that checks all the boxes, look no further than Kelly. Thank you!
Response from Kelly Chambers - Violinist:

Hello! My name is Kelly Chambers, and I am so glad you are here!
I’ve been playing the violin since I was a little girl. One night, a family friend came to our house for dinner when I was 9 years old and played violin for us. I remember being so incredibly in awe of how beautiful the instrument was and how majestic it sounded. From that moment on, I was ENAMORED and wanted to start lessons. After many tears at how terrible I sounded when I first started (hahah, I was so impatient and just wanted to sound good), I kept at it until the squeaking mellowed out. I’m so grateful that my parents encouraged me not to quit!!!
To my surprise, my teacher sat me first chair in my 6th grade orchestra, and I continued to play in orchestras all through middle school, high school, and then in college at the University of Virginia (class of 2012! I was a Psychology and Cognitive Science major). Some of my FAVE memories were playing in the orchestra pit for West Side Story once in high school, and again with First Year Players at UVA (the same group Tina Fey was a part of when she was a student. Cool, huh?!)
For the past five years, I have been playing in the Blue Ridge Chamber Orchestra in Charlottesville, a small group of amateur musicians that comes together for weekly rehearsals and bi-annual concerts. And while I love playing in orchestras, it has been a long-term dream of mine to share my love for the violin and music with others by playing for special events. I have played for several weddings and various gigs over the years, and I love meeting with people, learning about the types of music they like, and customizing the music to celebrate them well.
The Lord has placed it on my heart to serve and share my musical talents in this new way, and it would bring me such joy to play for your next event!
