Quayla Bramble (soprano) and Benjamin Hubbard (nylon guitar) began their duo Koim in the Spring of 2013. They weave their sounds together to give an enriching experience. Rehearsing in open spaces, they wish to share their music with anyone. The following Fall, they presented their refreshing style on stages around the California Institute of the Arts. Examples of their repertoire include familiar Brazilian songs with original English lyrics, an Aria from Rameau’s Plate, The Game of Love by Toru Takemitsu, and many other standard songs. Performing requested songs and standards such as Canon in D in wedding ceremonies, Koim has made many marriages special. These two musicians will illuminate any space they enter. The perfect group for LA wedding music, and romantic background music.
