Laura Benitez is a singer, songwriter, and the founder of Bay Area-based country band Laura Benitez and the Heartache. Her songs use the three chord tools of country music to tell the simple, unvarnished truth about love, too much whiskey, and the call of the road. Laura and her band have played festivals and clubs all over the West Coast and as far away as Nashville, TN. Her song "Our Remember Whens," was awarded an Honorable Mention in the American Songwriter Magazine Lyric Contest in January of 2016. She is available for solo and full-band performances, and specializes in classic country, Americana, classic rock and folk music.
