Les Deux

Sheila Molazadeh is a native of Southern California, born and raised in the city of Palm Springs. Her interest in music began at the age of seven when she began private instruction in classical piano, and by the age of ten, she began playing the flute. Sheila received her Bachelor of Music with a degree in Music Education from the University of Redlands, where she studied flute under Sara Andon. There, she performed in the university's Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, and Orchestra. During her third year at university, she studied abroad at the Zoltan Kodaly Pedagogical Institute of Music in Kecskemt, Hungary. Sheila has performed in many different venues around the world such as Tivoli Gardens in Denmark, the Edinburgh Trade Center in Scotland, the Sydney Opera House in Australia, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. In 2013, Sheila graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Masters degree in Flute Performance where she studied flute under Sandra Kipp. At CSUN, she performed in the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Northridge Flute Quartet, and various chamber ensembles. She currently resides in Los Angeles where she teaches private lessons in flute and piano.

Sia Davarnia was born in Tehran in 1984. He began music instruction at the age of eight with the Persian instrument “Santoor” and later switched to Classical Guitar at the age of eleven. He has worked under the direction of Shahram Chaparian (Classic Rock), Ali Alaee (Classical and Flamenco), Babak Amini (Jazz and Flamenco) and Adam Del Monte (Jazz and Flamenco). Sia is currently working toward his Bachelor of Music in composition and is also the Music Director for the Persian pop star Shadmehr Aghili. He has played numerous concerts around the world including Europe, the Middle East, and Malaysia to name a few. PRS Guitars, Godin Guitars and Orange Amps endorse Sia. He has been teaching for last ten years and has taught all ages from five years old and up. His method of teaching is based on music notation and it is his philosophy that guitar players have the ability to read music and be proficient in Music Theory. He currently teaches at two music academies located in Tarzana and Beverly Hills.

With their individual experiences in the profession of music, Sheila and Sia have come together to form a unique and dynamic duo, known as Les Deux. They share an unwavering passion for music-making both in the realm of teaching and performance. As performers, their goal is to create an atmosphere that draws in and engages the audience with high quality music.
