We hired Scott to perform for a Kids Event at a Country Club and everyone had a blast! The kids and parents were both incredibly entertained. Scott was great, he wasn’t just doing magic tricks but he was also a great entertainer - kids loved him and the adults were cracking up. What was most impressive (other than the magic tricks) is how he remembered each the kid’s name. They weren’t the easiest names either lol. Overall could not be happier!

Scott was so great to work with! I was setting up a fest for 400+ people, most of them children, and Scott was so good with them. I can’t say enough good things about Scott. Keeping the attention of a bunch of 4,5&6 years olds is a big task which he far exceeded. Would definitely recommend!!

Scott provided a magic show for a family get-together involving a group of about 22 family and friends; ages from 7 to ??? Everyone, and I truly mean everyone, thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the show.
Scott has a wonderful ability to engage people of all ages and get them to participate
in the magic acts, some of whom were children and adults who surprised us all by their desire to get "onstage" and help! I wish I had a video of the show. You would see many smiles, hear lots of laughter, lots of "Ohs" and "Ahs," and many comments such as "How did he DO that?" and even more laughter. Adults and children were talking about how much they enjoyed him for days afterward. Would we have him come again? Definitely. In fact, he was so friendly and everyone enjoyed him so much, we invited him to stay for dinner! If you are looking for a sincere, friendly, talented, and delightful magician who is also very patient with shy children and funny to the max, book Scott. You will be glad that you did!

We hired Scott for my sons 7th birthday party. We had children from age 3 through 14 and they were all practically falling over themselves to volunteer to help with each magic trick. The adults all stopped their grown up conversation to join the kids in the audience because they could hear all the shouting and laughter.
As the host, Scott was wonderful to work with, he explained what I could expect ahead of time, he was on time and extremely friendly and professional. My family and friends would absolutely recommend him for another party.

Scott performed for a group of about 15 kids ranging in ages from 1 to 18 and captivated them all. He was great with kids of all ages, smoothly worked through an unexpected malfunction (one of the kids in the audience knocked over his podium!) and gave a great performance. We will definitely work with Scott again!

My wife and I hired Scott to perform at our son's 6th birthday party. Our son has spent the last 6 months focusing on his own career as a magician so hiring a magician seemed logical. This was our first time using GigSalad and we received multiple offers within the first day of posting our event.
We picked Scott because his website reflected that his show engaged the kids and it was spot on. We could not have been happier with our selection of Scott. His communication was on point and professional prior to the event, he showed up with plenty of time to prepare and was very sociable with all our guests.
His show was a bit over an hour and although geared towards our younger audience kept all the parents and grandparents engaged and laughing throughout.

Scott Piner is an actor, director, performer, and teacher of magic. In his youth, Piner was one of only a select few students from the Midwest chosen to attend the prestigious Tannen’s Magic Camp on Long Island, New York. He combines his passion of magic with his interests in theatre, math, business, and storytelling. He is a graduate of the Northern Illinois University School of Theatre and Dance and the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management MBA program. He lives with his wife and daughter in St. Charles, IL and is a member of the St. Charles, IL Noon Rotary Club. Piner performs for parties, events, and fundraisers year-round.
Piner moves around a lot throughout the show and even moves into the audience as part of his interactive style. Piner is adaptable to the environment, but does request a 5x5 performance area for his table and prefers for the audience to sit proscenium style. Piner does not use any lights or sound. Piner can use a mic if requested, but generally performs in more intimate environments where a mic is not needed.
