Mel and the Musical Misfits

A tight-little self-contained ensemble that really enjoys what they do and transfers that passion end energy to their audience.

Mel and the Misfits are seasoned musicians and entertainers. They perform music spanning the many decades; 50’s, 60', 70's, 80's, and more. They also cover several genres including rock, blues, country and top 40.

Mel is originally from Minnesota, the Great White North. He performed in his late teens with theater groups all over the Twin Cities, but eventually found his real home onstage playing live music in all types of venues for all kinds of audiences. His favorite gig before relocating to Florida was as music director for a regional Elvis Tribute Artist. This gig fit right in with his passion, which is giving the crowd a show and a memorable, fun evening. Whether in front of 25 friends and family or 2,500 people at an outdoor festival, Mel insists on leaving it all onstage for his audience.

We are a self contained group. We bring our own production (unless a system is readily available), including a quality PA system, stage lighting, mics and general backline gear. We only require a minimum performance space of 10' deep x 15 feet wide, preferably elevated. We prefer two 20A circuits for our power needs, but can live with one circuit if need be.
