Mike Betancourt Stand-Up Comedian/Emcee

I had the privilege of seeing Mike Betancourt's act at Laughs Unlimited in Old Sacramento. After a couple warm up comics performed, Mike came out. Immediately I was taken in by his presence. It felt like a headlining act had come into the stage. He had a suit jacket and a tie on, which gave him a professional appearance. Although he took the jacket off after a bit because of the physical comedy nature of his show. When he got to his "She Rex" bit he was in full physical comedy mode. Once you start laughing at his act, you simply cannot stop. It is fast paced enough to keep your full attention but not so much that you miss the jokes. A very funny show that I will see again someday.
A truly remarkable comic that delivers his material very well.

I've booked Mike Betancourt repeatedly, and I will continue to do so.

His performances are always strong, energetic, smart and FUNNY. The man will leave no stone unturned to entertain.

He also happens to be a real professional: punctual, thoughtful, experienced and a real student of the game. Excellent communication before, during and after my events, and always wants the best experience for all involved.

I've been lucky enough to see Mike a few times and each time has has had me in tears. He completely sells his jokes and his unique twists on life as a dad/husband/comedian keep you wanting more. He is always the highlight of every show. HIGHLY recommended!

I was fortunate enough to to see Mike as Sarge on the zombie train. He was hilarious. Sharp, quick witted, and brought life to what could easily have been a one note military stereotype. Every joke landed and I was almost rolling in the aisles as he interacted with guests and zombies. An absolutely fantastic performance that I would love to see again.

I was lucky enough to witness Mikes hilarity at my first Homegrown Comedy trip at Inferno in Citrus Heights. He stole the show. I have never laughed so hard. He even "picked on" the table i was sitting at. If you haven't seen him, I suggest you get your butt wherever he may be at and enjoy the magic. He's awesome!

I had the honor of seeing Mike up in Sacramento, he was participating in an event that supported my organiztion (forveteranssake.org). All the comedians that night were Veterans. Mike hit the stage running with humor that floored me. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Most of the jokes were centered on military humor that night and I am still laughing. I about lost it with the Marine gag reflex joke. Working with Veterans everyday I get the chance to use that one when I talk to Marines. I would recomend that if you see Mike Betancourt appearing at a comedy club you will be very pleased. ( If your not, you probably suffer from that gag reflex). My service dog was even laughing. Thumbs up for this man I'll go out of my way to see him again.
