NYC Event Music provides live music in solo, duo or trio format for weddings and other events in the tristate area. Ideal for many “background music” settings, we perform classical guitar, jazz standards and/or instrumental renditions of popular songs at whatever volume and mood is appropriate.
Lead by acclaimed guitarist, composer and educator Colin Cannon. Colin is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music and holds bachelors and masters degrees of music. Based in NYC, Cannon performs at jazz venues including the Blue Note Jazz Club; and His 2021 release was ranked in the top ten jazz albums of year.
Colin was a great hire for our small wedding. He provided the perfect ambience as guests arrived / got settled, and did a very nice rendition of our favorite song as we walked down the aisle.

In general expect a warm jazz guitar atmosphere provided. Colin will adjust volume and mood for what's appropriate for your event. Colin is available, solo, duo, trio or even quartet.
Colin is a critically acclaimed guitarist, composer and teacher. No major technical assistance is needed. Colin will provide his own amplifier that should be loud enough for most events.
