One Step Closer

You can expect up to 2 hours of live acoustic music that is comprised of original tunes that are Pop/Jazz/R&B influenced and cover songs from the Top 40 Billboard Charts. Our music is warm, raw, and filled with harmonies with an a cappella styled background. Our aesthetics can be described as urban and classy with a touch of culture and positivity. We have the ability and access to sound equipment for inside and outside performance spots that can provide sound for an intimate setting of 10 people or up to as many as 300 people. Our performance set up only requires a small area of 10ft by 10ft as we are flexible with space. We aim to perform for people of all ages and all walks of life to use our music to spread joy and accentuate any event.

One Step Closer is an acoustic vocal duo from Los Angeles, California. They are the collaborative effort between Estefania Padilla and Miky Tayoba, two award winning performers who have been featured on national television, international competitions, and have rooted their breeding grounds in collegiate a cappella music. They are two great friends who connected through creating music for people of all walks of life and share a common focus on the raw moments of performing and songwriting. Through their various cover renditions and original tunes, they have been performing all around LA for the past year from coffee shops to dive bars to open mics and featured artist slots. Their music is smooth and powerful with tight harmonies and catchy lyrics. They also recently released their first EP called, "Chasing Clouds", which can be heard on all digital platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, SoundCloud, Google Play, and much more. This dynamic duo believes that everyone is "one step closer" to achieving their goals and every single step they take brings their music and message closer and closer to being heard.
