Born and raised in Arizona, Clark Vann Griffith earned a Bachelor of Music degree in composition from the Curtis Institute of Music and has never stopped playing the piano. A specialist in the music of J.S. Bach, he has thrice won the Best Performance of a Work from the Baroque Era at the Cliburn Amateurs competitions, among other prizes. Mr. Vann Griffith started playing by ear at the age of four and has never stopped. His extensive classical repertoire is augmented by show tunes, jazz standards, pop songs and the occasional improvisation.
