Ricky Watts started playing drums at the age of 10 in Granville, Ohio. His musical training took him to Florida, where he developed his skills, and eventually to Brooklyn, NY in 2007, where he now resides and has been playing professionally ever since. Watts has played all over the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.K. with his artist roster including the likes of Gracie and Rachel, Troy Ramey, Tim Pourbaix, Rubin Kodheli and Emily Danger, for which he is also the musical and technical director. His modern style incorporates electronic triggers and sounds, creating unique hybrid kits for each artist.

Brooklyn based professional touring/session drummer and singer. Specializing in pop/rock, blues, country, funk, and r&b. I've played with New York City groups Saved by the 90s "The Bayside Tigers", Silver Arrow Band, John Schmitt, Alex and Ricky, Alex Miller, and Emily Danger. I also program live shows for artist using Ableton Live. I use a Roland SPD-SX and other Roland pieces to create a hybrid kit that is commonly used in pop music today.
I play with people in acoustic duos as well. In the group "Alex and Ricky", I play a snare case as a kick drum, and use a snare and HiHat to round off my kit. We play Red Lion on Bleeker St, and Prohibition on Columbus Ave.
With John Schmitt, I play Cajon and other percussive instruments every Sunday at The Winslow on 14th St.
