Currently watching Shira in The Cave in Chapel Hill, NC. She has a wonderful voice that pairs well with her ukulele. Love it. And she talked to us before the performance. Beautiful and charming.

About
Shira was born in Rochester, NY to Israeli parents splitting her time growing up between Israel and the States. She moved to NYC for college and she has lived there ever since. Shira was cast in a few Off Broadway shows. One of those Off Broadway shows was 'Solitary Light' at Axis Theater Company where she met Paul Carbonara, former music director and guitarist of the seminal band Blondie.
After their work on Solitary Light, they became musical partners. Together they recorded Shira's debut 'Till the Sun Comes'. The album is Inspired by artists like Joni Mitchell, Johnny Cash, Ingrid Michaelson, Glen Hansard and The Weepies, an authentic fairy folk album with a touch of country jazz. All the tracks were written by Shira and produced by Paul Carbonara.
