Son is an experienced comedian who has performed for crowds as small as 10 people to as large as 600. He has performed in clubs, bars and theaters. He has a clean PG-13 act that does touch on some adult themes but always in a tasteful way. The act will consist of a wide range of topics from politics to family to current events.
Son Tran won the national Prizefest Comedy Contest and the Singapore international Comedy Contest and was a two time finalist in the Funniest Comic in Texas. Son has performed with comics such as Demetri Martin and Gilbert Gottfried His comedy has been described as ‘deadly silly’, by himself. He has immature yet philosophical insights on family, marriage and life in general that have made audiences laugh in clubs and festivals such as Laughfest and the Limestone Comedy Festival across the US and Canada. He has also performed for the troops in Afghanistan. Son’s wife does not approve of most of his jokes about her.
The best shows are performed either prior to the food being served or after the meal is over. It is best if there is a speaker and microphone available as shouting jokes at an audience doesn't make for the best show.
