Arrived early for the event... She was a pleasure to interact with and she stood for entire event. Soulful Ambitions was very powerful and brought hope through her spoken word....exactly what our goal was for the event.
My organization booked Lauren for our political forum and not only did Lauren deliver, she arrived early and was very positive with a great personality. I would definitely book her again.
This was my second time working with Lauren. As a poet\spoken word artist, her delivery is powerful and inspiring. With each performance that I've done with her, she wows the audience and gains new fans. Her performances adds a fresh twist to our jazz ensemble.
Response from SoulfulAmbitions:
I appreciate as always Rodney.

For speaking or spoken word performance, I provide my own microphone equipment and always show up early to ensure sound checks and mic are compatible with the system. Expect each piece (depending on how many you want to be presented) to be between 3-5 mins long. I enjoy interacting with the audience to keep them engaged. Other performances may Involve a small skit to give the audience a visual. I can bring forth material I also have or write something based around the theme of the event. Depending on what's requested determined if a skit or additional acting performance will be involved.
For Event planning|interviewing of the brand being promoted| or being an actress for your film, a meeting must be had and description provided for consideration.
"Delight In Your Difference!”
Lauren D. Armour aka Soulful Ambitions raised on the south side of Chicago set out to simply Speak Up. She is poetically inclined to express the deepest matter of the heart which will motivate, enlighten, shake up, direct, mold, and awaken the minds of those with ears to hear without taking away from one’s character. Aiming to break the bondage of ignorance and cause the people to not only recognize the truth but, also, recognize themselves. Her eloquence of expression moves those willing to listen to a new level of understanding and activate what’s dormant within. Causing one to develop the drive to get up a move despite the obstacles that lie ahead.
I usually have my own wireless mic. I arrive early to run sound to ensure its compatible with clients system. Depending on what is requested there may be video added but not required.
Most of my visuals are live skits either alone or with a few additional people.
There isn't anything to technical as long as the sound works.
