Hailing from Washington Heights, a New York City neighborhood known for embracing Latin music and its culture, Soulsa fuses elements of Afro-Caribbean grooves with acoustic and electric guitars to create fresh and exciting Latin sound. The band is known for writing songs with inventive vocal harmonies and lyrics that reflect the daily lives, struggles and triumphs of Latinos.
Soulsa has played a variety of venues in New York including Nuyorican Poets Café, China Club, Southpaw and Gonzalez & Gonzalez. The band received national recognition when they performed for Telemundo’s “Hoy en la Mañanita” and was invited to Finland as a headlining at the 10th Annual Latin Music Festival “Frutas Tropicales”. Most recently Soulsa performed as part of two sold out Benefit shows at City Winery in New York City.
Soulsa’s music has been featured in the TV shows “Mind of Mencia” and The Travel Channel’s “Man vs. Food”. Two of their original songs, “Elena” and "Hoja De Papel", were featured in the independent film “Entre Nos”.

Thanks for visiting!
Soulsa is a 4-5 piece Latin rock band.
For our shows we bring our own music instruments (drums, bass, guitars, amps etc.). In some cases, a venue will have drums or amplifiers available for the band to use. If so, please let us know what is available for us to use, it definitely makes travel easier for us! Also, very important, we do not have microphones, P.A. Sound system or a mixer for vocals. The event planner or venue has to provide this for us with a sound man/engineer to work the P.A. system.
Feel free to ask if you have any questions. Thank you!
