Overview
The (same-echo dektette )(same-eco dekette) "SAMECO DEKTETTE" is a "little" or "small" Big Band consisting of 10-12 members including a big band style singer. We perform the best known jazz standards on a smaller scale big band style. While we are a smaller sized group we also have the capability of presenting a full big band. The larger ensemble is known as "The SAMECO JAZZ ENSEMBLE" which would consist of 18 members. Additionally we can provide a salsa band named "SALSA RICA" & "L.A. Salsa Buena" consisting of 12 members where we'll be playing the most memorable salsa standards. At exterior events a P.A. system can be provided for a fee. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Additional Booking Notes
We can dress in an attire that is appropriate for your event theme from casual with Tropical/Hawaiian shirts to suits or tuxedos. Our video is just a casual rehearsal, live and unedited. The Salsa video was live at The Alpine Village & didn't have an experienced sound engineer. As a result you hear more cow bell and less Bari Sax Sam Espinosa... Ha! The people still loved it and we will be playing there again soon as well as at Tapa's in Newport Beach. Other club performances include The West End in Santa Monica and The Granada Club in Alhambra with more to come!

Influences & Inspiration
Primarily jazz standards of all kinds. Stan Kenton, Shorty Rogers, Dave Pell, Frank Sinatra and the list goes on... Danny Freyer does many Sinatra songs and other big band standards in that style. He also performs his original, "This Must be Love or Else I'm Drunk"!
The Salsa tunes are well known standards including but not limited to Grupo Niche, Willie Rosario, and many originals by Daniel Castillo, etc.
Both bands can perform on the same day/night.
Setup Requirements
Normally the equipment must be adequate for the size of the hall. Contact us for further elaboration.
Many venue's have a P.A. system and hopefully would be adequat for the facility. For some functions I could supply a P.A. and mic's, etc. but there may be cartage expenses depending on the factors involved.
