Born and raised in Jackson, MS Yusuf grew up on the west side of Jackson. He played basketball all the way until his sophomore year of college. He tragically lost his father in April 2019 to gun violence. One visit to Atlanta in September of 2020 led him to an open mic where stand-up comedy hooked him. He moved to Atlanta, GA in December 2020 to hone his comedy skills in what most people consider the new Mecca of comedy. He is now a weekly host at Atlanta’s own Uptown Comedy Corner every Saturday at 4pm. Some of his comedy influences are Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Dave Chappelle, and George Carlin. He has opened up for star studded comics such as Capone, Mark Curry, Chris Spencer and many others.
