I've played bagpipes since 1986. I know both Scottish and Irish tunes, and can learn tunes upon request. I've played wedding, parties, concerts, and events and specialize in police, fire department, and military events. I play in two Street Bands, Mackay Pipe Band in South Bethlehem, PA and Celtic United Pipe Band in Wind Gap, PA. if you need a full band, please contact me, and I will put you in touch with the band managers of each respective band. I've been in a fill in piper for rock bands, as well. I have both traditional and military kilt uniforms. I will travel up to three hours to play. I decided pricing per event based on mileage, length of playing time, and formality.

I will arrange with you every detail of the experience, including where I tune up (bagpipes are loud...they are hard to make a surprise). We will discuss any special requests (Amazing Grace, Scotland the Brave, Going Home, etc.). I can learn tunes if I can find the sheet music in time. We will discuss what type of kilt set up you'd prefer (military, dress, standard). You will determine how long I will play and/or at what point (as people arrive, during a ceremony/service, as people exit, graveside, etc.). For parties and celebrations, I like to get the crowd involved if there is a way to do that; for funerals and somber events, I stand off to the side.
My name is Beth, and I've been piping since 1986. I retired for a while to raise my boys, and returned to piping during the pandemic.
Bagpipes require tuning and will go in and out of tune based on weather. Playing indoor and outdoor events may require tuning to happen in each location. I will arrive early and tune off to the side and out of earshot.
The two most requested tunes are Amazing Grace and Scotland the Brave. For military, fire and police memorial functions, I add in 343 The Fallen which was written to memorialize the 343 firefighters killed during the 9/11 attacks. Highland Cathedral is popular for both weddings and funerals. I can also play dance tunes (jigs, reels) and marches. I know over 100 tunes, and I can learn special requests.
I play traditional Scottish and Irish tunes. I can serve as a fill in for rock bands if music is provided.
I don't need any special equipment.
