Khandeya "Kay" Sheppard is a steelpan musician with a wide range of solo and ensemble performance experiences in the United States and Trinidad and Tobago. Khandeya is a solo performer and the music director of NEXUS Band and Dynamic Steel Project. Genres: R&B, Soul, Jazz, Pop, Caribbean (Soca/Reggae)
NEXUS is a r&b/soul fusion ensemble in the Baltimore/DMV area. The full group is made up of 5-6 members including: vocalists, keyboards, steelpan, bass, and drumset. Our collective brings together trained musicians from Berklee College of Music, New England Conservatory, and Northern Illinois University who have been performing in other individual and group settings for 10-20 years.
